Nick Lachey seeks spousal support from Jessica Simpson
Sunday, February 19th, 2006Nick Lachey is seeking spousal support from his estranged wife Jessica Simpson, and he wants his jewelry back, in the divorse paper he filed.
Nick Lachey mentioned irreconcilable differences for the separation, in the papers filed in court on Friday in response to Jsessica Simpsons divorce filing on December 16 last year.
He also asked for “miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects,” and part of Jessica Simpson’s earnings from after the date of separation and other assets.
Papers filed by Nick Lachey claims date of separation was December 13, 2005, whereas Jessica Simpsons claim was November 23, 2005. This difference of dates are relevent as Jessica Simpson made nearly $1 million during those time, that money would have to split with her former husband under California law.
The Mediterranean-style house owned by the couple during their ‘Newlyweds’ time was sold to Malcolm in the Middle teen actor Justin Berfield allegdly for $3.6 millions.
